Our research is motivated by clinical questions. Why are some listeners successful hearing aid wearers, and others aren’t? Can we customize hearing aids to the listener’s ability to process sound? Should cognitive ability be considered when selecting and fitting hearing aids? How do environmental factors such as reverberation and noise affect communication for listeners with hearing loss? Our studies are designed to gain scientific knowledge and clinical evidence to improve hearing care.
